Created a Digital Exhibit based on an incredible event, Roots in Manchester : Then & Now, for The Manchester Metropolitan University [History, Philosophy, and Politics Department]. The event celebrated Black and mixed-heritage culture in Manchester but also tackled critical subjects of race, racism, and society. The event drew inspiration from the 1980s exhibition Roots in Britain by Ziggi Alexander (https://lnkd.in/ddaJnB3t)
It Included a film screening of Moving Memories - Tales from Moss Side and Hulme by Karen Gabey, a panel discussion with Lisa Ayegun, Haseeb Khan and Dr. Shirin Hirsch along with a creative workshop with 60 students from three local secondary schools.
